“[The Last Projector by David James Keaton is] David Foster Wallace and David Lynch co-directing a video-game adaptation of on-screen smut and technological progress… [that] finally collapses in an orgy of self-destruction.”
-Albedo One Magazine
You. Yeah, you. Come here a second.
You look like a sumbitch that gets down to business, so here it is: This Friday night, 7 PM, Mr. David James Keaton will be here live and in one piece as a benefit for Second Story.
I believe you recall Mr. Keaton. He’s published in more than 50 places, rags and mags like PANK, Thuglit, Noir at the Bar II, and Plots With Guns. He’s been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and he’s Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of Flywheel Magazine. Guy’s got a rap sheet a mile long.
Mr. Keaton will be here on Friday, and we will be too—the whole Punchnel’s family, celebrating the winning entries from our Flash Hybrid Noir contest. For your entertainment, Punchnel’s is also providing the warm-up acts, readers like Jen Bingham, Carol Divish, and yours truly.
The event is free, but all donations and proceeds benefit the kids’ writing programs of Second Story. Mr. Keaton supports the children, because a big heart does not necessarily require a sound mind.
Good news for us, right pal?
